0 help to my problems.

Well … it can’t be my keywords are that are being banned or classified and spam and causing my desperate attempts for WordPress help being removed from the forum upon immediately being posted … and, I haven’t done anything lately to cause me from being banned or anything … so I just have to assume that WORDPRESS.ORG support site is broken. I have even tried all three browsers – just in case.

Please fix WordPress.org~

Anybody else having problems today?

UPDATE
Akismet was to blame today at WordPress.org. It flagged my post as spam or in need of moderation. And, when it didn’t inform me of this .. when I posted the identical post a few more times .. it confirmed that I was spam and scooped everything thing and blacklisted me.

However, fortunately there are HUMAN plugins to the wordpress.org site that frequently check these moderated logs and noticed the error, pulled out my posts and (hopefully) removed me from the banlist!

My feedburner count is down on all my sites, but I finally figured it out .. it’s due to the ROJO count .. and I don’t know what yesterday’s numbers were but it probably the same .. It’s weird, but on my 1-800-HART site, I only have 10 ROJO and only 2 ROJO subscribers for the PetLvr blog. The other blogs only have 0, 1 or 2 so, I didn’t really notice. Also, most of my readers reading this blog prefer and use Firefox opposed to the other blogs being between 80% and 90% Internet Explorer usage. If I have time in the next week or so, I’ll try to pull out some graphs of all my sites and see if I can see any other trends!

So … ROJO .. eh? How do you like it? I am using Bloglines as my preferred feed reader of choice. I was planning to switch or try the Google Reader however, I’ve got too many saved “Kept New” articles (about 2,000 of them)

* My Feedburner Count

.. was 67 count yesterday, and is now 16 count, I know this feedburner statistic can vary a lot either way each day in day out .. but .. a 76% drop? That’ seems overly strange.

* Oh Right! “Page Rank” is not the same as “Google Pagerankâ„¢”

I’ve been reading around my bloglines in sites wondering if there is another “google dance” is in progress, and personally .. I really don’t care. I know my sites suck, and it’s not like I’m doing that much better in resulting efforts to consciously try to improve my page rank.

But .. My Google Toolbar on my internet explorer (IEv7) browser seems to be fluctuating with other calculations. For instance, one of my sites .. The-Singers.com .. once had a Page Rank of PR=6. And this was just in the past summer 2006. After the google dance last fall, (I never noticed it until October 23, 2006) .. the page rank was reduced to PR=2. In fact, a lot of my sites were reduced .. and a several with no ranks were increased – but, as a net my sites went down.

In the past week .. my Google Toolbar on The-Singers.com is now showing PR=6. I have at last 6 other sites with similar (and increased) page ranks.

Yet .. for all calculations from every page rank calculation site in my bookmarks .. the rank should still be PR=2.

It’s quite weird. But, oh well .. I’m certainly not going to lose any sleep over this. In my own mind, this site SHOULD be still at PR=2 because, since I’ve lost the rank from PR=6 down to PR=2 .. I’ve slowed down on the postings … and then when Google purchased YouTube .. about 1/3 of the videos included on that blog are now dead links.

In doing a net search to find out where there are discrepancies .. I found myself to this pretty interesting article:

Fact 1. “Page Rank” is not the same as “Google Pagerankâ„¢.”

Fact 2. “Google Pagerankâ„¢ shown in the Google Toolbar is not the same as the actual “Google Pagerankâ„¢” number or value used by Google to determine the “Page Rank” of a page for a specific key phrase.

Fact 3. “Google Pagerankâ„¢” value is for a specific page or document on the web and the “Page Rank” value is for a specific web page/document and keyword phrase combination.

* While I’m at it .. What Page Rank Checking Sites Do You Use?

These are the ones that I use … the first one is my favorite, because I created a text file of all my site URLs listed on a separate line for each URL .. and just copy and paste all of my sites into the box and calculate all of the sites’ rankings at once.

When I have time to surf, I kind of center myself and gravitate to a certain section of the internet. I’m either surfing, researching, playing games, stress release, catching up on news, or just following the links.

Well, yesterday, it was Megacafe videos, sites of people commenting on the blogs that I read, and looking at my lack of posting schedule that I haven’t been following. I found myself on the Crimson Light Blog Network (or is it BlogTopper Network?) I’m not sure.

Well .. I like to see what other little “network of blogs” or “blog networks” are doing, and maybe I will learn something, or maybe I can just see how I am doing compared to others out there .. Some of the sites in the network are quite interesting. Others, are like this one.

We received 29 cm of snow December 31, 2006 .. that’s a lot of snow to shovel out and still have a great time for New Year’s Eve .. but, alas .. we didn’t last past 2:00am .. and woke up with some sore muscles.

I couldn’t help thinking on New Year’s Day .. should I be making preductions for 2007 .. just like everybody else is doing?

Well – I’m an accountant by trade, and I deal more with the after-the-fact results than the pro-forma projections and predictions. So .. WHAT IF… I made up some nonsense statistics of imaginery events that probably could have happened but most likely didn’t happen in 2006 instead .. You know the ones – the ones that nobody can prove or disprove or argue … (just like these predictions that are being made)

But then – I got bored and stopped writing them down. Now I can’t remember any of the other ones (and some of them were good!)

I was going to analyze my network statistics today, but I have realized that it’s just too complicated. Besides, I pretty much know how last year went .. it’s where I am going in the future that counts.

Although, I started with my Feedburner statistics. It’s funny, but I’ve got 3 statistics happening on most of my blogs:
* Feedburner (for my RSS feeds)
* Statscounter (Since day 1 – login)
* Sitemeter (since Nov2005 – public)

Today – on this domain HART-Empire.com .. it shows that I had 24 unique visitors in Statscounter, 124 visitors in Feedburner, and …// oops I don’t have Sitemeter for this blog itself – just the entire HART-Empire Network as a whole. Actually, that is surprisingly strange .. because somehow – THIS BLOG .. seems to have the most subscribed readers of my RSS!

I don’t really trust these numbers, and Feedburner counts can fluctuate by at 20-50% every day .. but, I thought rather than siphoning some type of analysis of my network .. let’s just pick apples with apples and compare the same thing. Here is my list of Feedburner count subscribers, and I’ll look again at July 1, 2007 and January 1, 2008. I hope the numbers increase by then…

In the meantime .. I measure my own performance as a “quickie reference” by clicking the Sitemeter Graphic Button at the bottom of every HART-Empire Network Code in each of our sidebars .. it shows the combined network traffic in one glance .. and I usually look at the REFER stats .. (just add /refer/ after any domain ..e.g. PetLvr.com/blog/refer/)

Oh by the way – I also hope to increase these figures in 2007 too.
