I was looking around my sites this week - because I had 8 domains that were coming up for renewal and I had to be sure it was okay to let some lapse, or be sure NOT to make some of the domains lapse.

You see .. if you recall, last September/October I consolidated a lot of my network. I had two hosting ISP’s and consolidated them down to just 1 ISP … and I consolidated two of my “series” of blogs and domains to subdomains … where I had 26 domains before, I now have 2 domains with at least 13 subdomains on each (BattlingForHealth.com and the AndYouWill.com sites)

Now - that’s a lot of domains, and I took shortcuts in creating most of them over a Sunday Afternoon. I will give you a real-live example I fixed today.

This has got to be the second most annoying feature that I’ve noticed in EVERY SINGLE BLOG that has been upgraded to the latest wordpress version 2.2. The first being that my Iimage Browser Plugin does not work because it requires one file to be placed in the wp-admin folder .. and my InstantUpgrade plugin deletes it every time there is an upgrade to my blog, initiated by me.

Since my MSN Messenger was upgraded to MSN Live Messenger and it kept crashing my system .. I stopped using it altogether. Instead, I’ve been using GOOGLE TALK.

I have three Google accounts actually. I started back in 2005 where somehow I was able to create a Virtual GMAIL Drive on my Windows Explorer. It’s cool! All I have to do is drag and copy/paste and stuff from my local computer is automatically tossed onto my 1st Gmail account. I map this to be my G-Drive of my computer.

In order to reduce the practice of making contacts and joining communities just to spread their face around, we’ve instituted a limit of 15 community joins , 15 new contacts and 5 co-author requests in a day. Straight up, this is a quick-and-dirty approach and these numbers may not be the optimal numbers. We’re going to rely on you to help us tweak these over time so that it maintains a balance of usefulness to members while keeping people from trying to game the system to everyone’s detriment.

Lastly, and this wasn’t part of the original plan, we patched a stupid cookie hole that allowed people to impersonate other members. While you couldn’t use this exploit to gain access to other members’ accounts, you could show up on other sites as someone else. And that ain’t cool.
